Summary

Implements the Protocol on the Accession of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership by amending the

Customs Tariff Act 1995
to provide a free rate of customs duty for certain originating goods of the United Kingdom; specify phasing rates of customs duty for certain originating goods of the United Kingdom that will incrementally reduce to free; and provide a safeguard that would restore the customs duty rate to the rate that applied before the commencement of the protocol for certain products.
